Purpose of Enclosure.外殼的作用

To prevent access of Hazardous Pats.防止觸及危險部件

.  A part, when removed will allow access of Hazardous Parts is
Enclosure . 外殼只當移開她後可以觸及危險部件的部分
.   A switch Knob may be an Enclosure .開關的旋鈕可以是外殼
.   Tested by test probe per Standard.用安全標準中的規定進行測驗

To prevent fire form spreading from the tool .防止火焰從工具中蔓延出來

.   Flame Test requirements. HB, V, 5VA 〈Refer to Appropriate
Standards〉火焰測試要求:HB, V, 5VA〈參加相應標準〉Usually
When HB is used, it also requires HAL and HWI


ENCLOSURE 外殼的要求

resistance to Moisture抗潮濕

  ENCLOSUSRE REQUIREMENTS
RESISTANT TO MOISTURE PER 60745,
Enclosure must provide protection against moisture 〈water
And humidity〉according to IPX classification, specified by
Part 2 of 60745, or by manufacturer.

WATER〈14.1.1 and 14.12〉as per IEC 60529,parts
removed without aid of tools are not energized.
.  Most tools are IPZ0 – for ordinary location
.  IPX1 and 2 – tested by drip box 
.  IPX3 and 4 – oscillating tube or shower head
.  IPX5 and 6 – spray nozzle
.  IPX7 – immersion up to 1m deep
.  Water treatment is followed by Electric strength and visual
examination.

 

ENCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS
HUMIDITY PER 60745
SPILLAGE
. Parts removed without aid of tools.
.  0.25 I or 15% of container is filled with water containing
1% of NaC and poured steadily for 1min.
. Water treatment is followed by Electric Strength and
Visual examination.

After water and/or Spillage and before the Humidity
Treatment, the tool is allowed to stand at the room
Temperature for 24 hours.

 ENCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS

HUMIDITY
. Parts removed without aid of tools.
.  Before treatment sample warmed to〈t+4 deg.C〉 
.  48 hrs in humidity cabinet @93 +/- 2%, 20 to 30 deg.C
. Immediately after humidity , the LeaKage  Current  test is 
Conducted and followed by the Electric Strength. The
Leakage current limits are doubled if:controls have off in
All poles, tool has no control other than one-shot,
Thermostats hate no off position, and tool has a line filter.
